Message in a Bottle Scheme
We now have more stock of our ‘message in a bottle’ container. This scheme is funded by the Rotary Club of Cardiff Bay. It’s a free scheme for any vulnerable person. You put your essential details on a special form and place it inside the bottle. The bottle is kept on a shelf in your fridge and you stick a label on the outside of the door. Put another small label on the front door and emergency services will recognise the Green Cross and know where to find the bottle. You can collect your FREE bottle from the office during opening hours 9am-12.30pm or call 029 20513700
Marks and Spencer’s Monthly Shopping Trip
DPVC is pleased to announce that from January 2016 we are running a monthly shopping trip to Marks and Spencer’s at Culverhouse Cross. Since the demise of the regular service bus on that route there hasn’t been the opportunity for elderly residents to enjoy the pleasures of shopping! The DPVC minibus will be making the trip once a month and for more information and how to book a place contact 029 20513700. (Places must be pre booked)
Becky Roberts, a local photography student, has recently spent some time shadowing our drivers and other volunteers to capture the work of DPVC in pictures. Becky’s pictures will be uploaded to our gallery pages soon.
